CITY OF BERKELEY'S SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAMS
Registration for Fun Camps and Aquatics Programs begins May 6
Berkeley, California (Tuesday, April 11, 2006) - Registration for the City of Berkeley's Fun Camps and Aquatics Programs begins May 6.
Summer Fun Camp Program, registration begins May 6, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at all of the City's Recreation Centers. Youth, ages 5-12 years old, can participate in arts, crafts, sports, games and field trips. Free lunch is also available at most sites. Summer Fun Camps will be held between June 19-August 11, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Morning and afternoon extended care is also available. Cost: $85 per week for Core Program. Funships are available for low-income participants. Please call 981-6640 for more information.
Aquatics Program, registration begins May 6, 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. at King Pool, for King Pool only; and May 7, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Willard and West Campus for Willard and West Campus only. Beginning May 8 you can also register at the Recreation Office, 1947 Center Street for all pools. Cost for Red Cross Certified Swim Classes: $55. Other classes are available.
