CITY OF BERKELEY INJURY PREVENTION PROGRAM HEALTH & WELLNESS FAIR FOR STUDENTS
Berkeley, California (Wednesday, April 12, 2006) - The City of Berkeley Injury Prevention Program and the Berkeley High School Health Center announce the 3rd Annual Health & Wellness Fair to be held on Thursday, April 20, 2006 on the Berkeley High School (BHS) campus, between the “C” building and the Community Theater. This all day event, for BHS students, focuses on encouraging overall health and wellness amongst teens in our community. The event will feature 25 community organizations offering hands-on learning through games, questionnaires, and physical challenges. Special features include the Mother’s Against Drunk Driving (MADD) crash vehicle, the BHS peer health educators, and a drunk driving prevention art exhibit by the BHS art classes.
Co-sponsors include the Berkeley High School Health Center, the California Office of Traffic Safety, and the City of Berkeley Injury Prevention Program. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
