NEW PROCEDURE FOR DISPLAYING THE PAY-AND-DISPLAY PAY STATION DISPENSING MACHINE TICKET
New Dispensing Machine Ticket

Berkeley, California (Wednesday, October 04, 2006) - On Monday, October 16, 2006, it will no longer be necessary for drivers parking at the City of Berkeley’s pay-and-display stations to fumble with affixing the dispensing machine ticket (DMT) to the interior side window of their vehicle.  In an effort to make the system more user friendly, the City of Berkeley is switching from the sticky-back DMT to the dashboard DMT.  All that is needed now is for the driver to place the valid DMT face up in the street side dashboard window to demonstrate legal parking within the pay-and-display zone.

The process for purchasing a DMT remains the same, just insert coins or your credit/debit card in appropriate slots for time desired.  Press print to receive your DMT indicating how much time you purchased to park.  Finally, place the DMT face up in the street-side dashboard window so that the expiration time and date are visible from the outside.

Please remember that time limits are strictly enforced.
