APRIL IS ALCOHOL AWARENESS MONTH
Berkeley events seek to educate residents and inspire change

Berkeley, California (Wednesday, March 28, 2007) - Alcohol abuse creates problems for the user, for friends, families, neighbors and the community at large. The City of Berkeley is teaming up with UC Berkeley and several other agencies to increase awareness of the problems caused by alcohol and strategies for addressing them.

The City of Berkeley, UC Berkeley, Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services, California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control, and local agencies are collaborating on the 4th Annual Berkeley Alcohol Awareness Month, with the theme "Recovery & Prevention: A Family & Community Affair." We are calling out to everyone in Berkeley to help prevent alcohol problems in our city.
