CITY SPONSORS HOLIDAY BREAK PROGRAMS
When School is Out, Recreation Is In!
Berkeley, California (Friday, December 14, 2007) - Are you looking for something for your kids to do during the winter break? The City of Berkeley Recreation Division is sponsoring a Winter Break Program for youth ages 5-12 years old.
Two week-long programs are available:
Friday, December 21-Friday, Dec. 28, or
Monday, December 31- Friday, January 4.
Both programs run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (holidays excluded) and extended care is available before and after the programs for an additional fee. Youth can enroll for both weeks.
Activities include holiday crafts, gift-making, songs, dance, music and prizes. Captivating field trips that include ice skating, bowling, trips to local parks, the main library, Lake Merrit and the U.C. Campus Art Museum will make the season bright for all.
A snack will be included each day. A barbeque cook-out will be included each week, though children must bring a lunch most days. Cost of the core program is $86/week. Call 981-6690 for more information, or download the Fall/Holiday Program Brochure at www.cityofberkeley.info/recreation.
