TOYS NOT TICKETS

Berkeley, California (Wednesday, December 17, 2008) - On Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 8:00AM, members of the Berkeley Police Department (BPD) and the Berkeley Fire Department will gather in the front lobby of the Ronald Tsukamoto Public Safety Building (PSB, 2100 Martin Luther King Jr. Way) to continue a 15 year tradition of giving to the less fortunate in our community.

“Due to hard economic times the need for new unwrapped toys have never been greater,” said Captain Bobby Miler, Berkeley Police event organizer.  “We are hoping we can count on members of the community to come down and help us make the holidays brighter for needy children.”  People are encouraged to drop off their contributions at the PSB between 8:00am-5:00pm through Monday, December 22nd.

For those families wishing to register as recipients for the toy drive, they can do so by calling 2-1-1.
