$17,000 REWARD OFFERED IN SOUTH BERKELEY VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER
Berkeley, California (Tuesday, May 05, 2009) - The City of Berkeley is offering a $15,000 reward and Bay Area Crime Stoppers is offering an additional $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible for a felony hit and run in which the victim died as a result of his injuries.
On Wednesday, April 29th, the City of Berkeley Police Department (BPD) responded to the area of Adeline and Harmon Streets in South Berkeley for a report of a “man down.” Officers quickly deduced that the man was the victim of an apparent hit and run. Due to the serious nature of his injuries, the Berkeley Fire Department Paramedics immediately transported the victim to the Alameda County Hospital. The victim remained in critical condition there until Monday when he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as William Ladd Henderson 54, of Berkeley.
The suspect vehicle has been described as a 90s, dark green/blue Buick Park Avenue with large chrome rims. Similar to the one pictured below:
