On April 4, 2009, Brown Jr. picked up a 27 year old woman in the area of San Pablo Avenue and Carrison Street in Southwest Berkeley. When Brown Jr. stopped his truck on the 700 block of Heinz Street he sexually assaulted the victim multiple times. A break in the case came when a community member provided the license plate number to the 1996 Ford Ranger that Brown Jr. had been driving.
On Friday, May 15, 2009 Brown Jr. was charged with False Imprisonment, Oral Copulation and Sodomy. Brown Jr. was later released on bond.BPD Homepage
