CITY CREWS AND RESIDENTS WORK TOGETHER TO PREVENT STORM FLOODING
Berkeley, California (Tuesday, October 13, 2009) - As the first big storm of the season batters the Bay Area, City of Berkeley crews from the Public Works Department and the Forestry Division of the Parks Department are busy cruising the streets. Crews are responding to reports of flooding from customers and are on the lookout for trouble spots that need clearing.
Residents who wish to report clogged storm drains, flooding, or other urgent storm matters should call 981-6620.
Residents wishing to use sand bags to temporarily build up existing water barriers on private property can pick them up at any Berkeley fire station or at the City’s Corporation Yard.
