POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE IN AQUATIC PARK

Berkeley, California (Friday, November 13, 2009) - Berkeley Police Department (BPD) Homicide Detectives are investigating the city's 5th homicide of 2009.  The crime scene was discovered when a patrol officer was conducting a routine security check in the West Berkeley Park shortly after 4:00 a.m.

The officer found the body of a female adult vicitm lying on the shorline adjacent to the parking lot on Bolivar Drive North of Potter Street.  The victim has yet to be identified and detectives are still examining the scene for evidence.
