Opens Monday, January 25th for Berkeley Residents

Berkeley, California (Wednesday, January 13, 2010) -

Echo Lake Youth Camp is a five-day residential camp located in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.  Echo Lake is an exciting and nurturing environment where youth can develop self-confidence, teamwork skills, and try fun new challenges. During the day campers can enjoy swimming, canoeing, sports, arts and crafts, fishing, all-camp games, archery and hiking. In the evenings campers participate in special events like a night hike, campfire, a dance, stargazing, and a talent show. It is our goal for youth to gain a sense of connection to themselves, their friends, and the environment during their stay - and, of course, to have a lot of fun.

Echo Lake Youth Camp runs for six weeks (Monday – Friday), beginning Monday, July 12th and runs through Friday, August 17th. Weekly fees for Berkeley residents are $457 for Berkeley residents, and $462 for non-residents.

Registration begins Monday, January 25 for Berkeley residents, and Monday, February 1 for non-residents.

For more information please visit, send an email to, call (510) 981-5140 or stop by the Camps Office at 1947 Center Street, 1st floor.
