ART SHOW 'PET PARADE' OPENING AT THE 1947 CENTER STREET LOBBY GALLERY
Art Show open September 10 to December 10, 2010
Berkeley, California (Tuesday, September 21, 2010) - An art show entitled "Pet Parade," with works by five local and international artists, opened at the City of Berkeley 1947 Center Street Lobby Gallery on September 10, 2010. The show runs through December 10, 2010.
The show celebrates the dog lovers who come to the building to register their pets by featuring the work of five artists who are recognized nationally and internationally for their dog and cat artwork. Three of the artists are from the Bay Area and two are from Germany. The two German artists are frequent visitors to the Bay Area and are very well known internationally for their unique pet artwork.
The five featured artists are: local artists Catherine Hamlett, Patti Heimburger, and Lois Cantor, and German artists Ruth Marcus and Doc Bauman.
The "Pet Parade" is curated by Rinna B. Flohr, curator for the City of Berkeley. The show runs from September 10 - December 10 at 1947 Center Street, Berkeley. Please visit the Holiday and Reduced Services web page for building hours.
