3RD ANNUAL PUMPKIN PATCH DASH
Youth Races and Carnival Promoting Youth Fitness
Berkeley, California (Wednesday, October 06, 2010) - Step right up, come one come all, to the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch Dash and Carnival! The City of Berkeley's Recreation Division is once again offering this Halloween event to promote fun and fitness. Join us Saturday, October 30, 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School Track and Field, 1781 Rose Street, Berkeley.
This family-oriented event will include age-appropriate youth track races (kindergarten through 8th grade) and a Halloween carnival. Top winners in each category will receive a special medal, and all race participants will be awarded certificates. Carnival activities will include games with prizes, face painting, raffles, and a pumpkin drawing contest.
T-shirts and goodie bags will be given to youth on a first come, first served basis. This event attracts hundreds of participants and spectators each year so register early. Fee is $5.00 per youth participant. Visit our website at www.cityofberkeley.info or call (510) 981-5150.
