Berkeley, California (Thursday, February 10, 2011) - Berkeley Echo Lake Youth Camp is a five-day residential camp located in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.  Echo Lake is an exciting and nurturing environment where youth can develop self-confidence, learn teamwork skills and try fun new challenges - all in a beautiful out-of-doors classroom that overlooks the Lake Tahoe Basin.

During the day campers enjoy activities such as swimming, canoeing, sports, arts and crafts, fishing, all-camp games, archery and hiking. In the evenings campers participate in special events like a night hike, campfires, a dance, stargazing, and a talent show. It is our goal for youth to gain a sense of connection to themselves, their friends, and the environment during their stay...and, of course, to have a lot of fun!

Echo Lake Youth Camp runs for six weeks (Monday-Friday), beginning Monday, July 11, and ending Friday, August 26.

Weekly registration fees are $457 for Berkeley residents, and $462 for non-residents.

For more information please visit, send an email to, call (510) 981-5140 or stop by the Camps Office at 1947 Center Street, 1st floor.
