History
Berkeley Way Mini-Park was built using Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds and local Capital Improvement Program (CIP) funds. It was dedicated for public use on November 16, 1974, and in 1975 it received the1975 Park Facility citation from the California Parks and Recreation Society, District III, for neighborhood participation in design concepts and volunteer labor. Due to age, heavy use, and vandalism, the park is receiving a complete renovation in 2001.
