History
Originally called the Acton Tot Lot, Charlie Dorr Mini-Park was designed and developed by the community in 1972. The lovely shade arbor was built and installed by a volunteer work party, and a private contractor completed the remaining construction. It was officially named after the prior owner of the site in November 1973. The mini-park received the 1975 Park Facility Citation from the California Parks and Recreation Society, District III, for neighborhood participation in design concepts and volunteer labor.
