Affordable Public Housing for Low-Income Families
Operated by the Berkeley Housing Authority
The Berkeley Housing Authority operates 75 units of low-income public housing in 18 sites around Berkeley. These units were built in the 1980s and are geared toward larger, low-income families. Accordingly, there are 44 three-bedroom units and 31 four-bedroom units.
The Berkeley Housing Authority recently took applications for the Public Housing Wait List. However, the application period has closed. The Housing Authority no longer accepts wait list applications at this time.
The Berkeley Housing Authority has contracted with EJP and Overland, Pacific & Cutler, Inc. to assist with the disposition/reposition of BHA's Low Income Public Housing Units. Below are reports and informational items from EJP and from Overland, Pacific & Cutler, Inc.:
