Camps

Echo Lake Camp (All Ages)

Berkeley Echo Lake Camp sits on top of a 7400 ft. Sierra Nevada ridge, which overlooks the Tahoe Basin. Camp is located 15 minutes away from South Lake Tahoe. Echo Lake Camp is approximately a 3-hour drive from Berkeley. Campers stay in rustic tent cabins and enjoy three hot meals per day, along with hiking, canoeing, sports, arts and crafts and special evening activities. The Pacific Crest Trail, the Tahoe Rim Trail, Desolation Wilderness and Echo Lake are all within a half mile from camp.

Tuolumne Camp (All Ages)

Spend your family vacation in this peaceful northern California mountain site located in the Stanislaus National Forest.  Explore the beautiful nearby forests and streams, participate in a variety of activities, meet new friends and renew old acquaintances, or simply relax!  There is something for everyone at Tuolumne Camp.

Berkeley Day Camp (Ages 5-12) and Teen Camp (Ages 12-13)

Berkeley Day Camp provides a fun and exciting experience for children in Grades K–5. Staff provides a safe environment that helps a child develop social skills and appreciation for our local parks. Camp provides recreational activities including arts and crafts, field games, and cookouts. Weekly special events include Summer Halloween, Science of Fun and more. Day Camp buses staff and children to and from camp each week. Typically, two days in Tilden Park, and two days at the Berkeley Marina.

Counselors-in-Training (C.I.T.) (Ages 14-15)

Teens have an opportunity to work within our camp programs where they can gain valuable experience, build self-esteem, learn leadership as well as job training skills, while having fun. C.I.T. for Tuolumne Camp is currently full.

Scholarships

Berkeley City Council provides a limited number of camperships to low-income families (Berkeley residents only). Scholarships are available for all camps. Scholarships will reduce fees by 50%.
