      Work on the sanitary sewer main between Addison Street to Center Street on east side of Shattuck Square.

      Testing of the newly installed sanitary sewer main, laterals and manholes.

      Completed rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer main, laterals and manholes Sacramento Street (East side) between Rose and Cedar. Testing of 3 manholes remain.

      Completed repair of existing sanitary sewer main, manhole and laterals on Keith Avenue #1187 to #1202. Interior coating and testing of manhole remains to be done.

      Continue work on Hopkins Street from Peralta to Gilman (1200-1400 blocks) and from Colusa to Josephine (1700-1800 blocks). The work will involve the rehabilitation of the existing sanitary sewer mains, manholes and lower service laterals.

      Contractor will resume working in the easement areas between Milvia Street through Bonita Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr. Way (1200 block areas) and the easement areas of 512 Boynton and 21 Florida Avenue. Rehabilitation of the existing sewer main, laterals and manholes.

      rdbarrierNote: Residents will be notified by contractor prior to working within the immediate areas. Please heed all “No Parking”, temporary directional signs in project area. There will be an unusual loud noise during the insertion of the new sanitary sewer pipe into the existing pipe. During these events the contractor will try to muffle as much of the sound as possible. The replacement of the new sanitary sewer mains, laterals and manholes will occur during the working hours. Please DRIVE SLOW thru the construction area. Be aware of low tree branches along the road side.

      Starting July 13, 2015, CALTRANS will be removing a rock outcropping that interrupts access to the sidewalk adjacent to northbound State Route 13 and construct a standard sidewalk, adjacent roadway, and a retaining wall adjacent to the sidewalk on northbound State Route 13 (Tunnel Road) located between Hiller Drive and Vicente Road.

      rdbarrierMotorists should expect delays. All work is weather permitting. Access to the northbound sidewalk will be prohibited during construction.

      Replacement of existing pumps, motors, electrical components and internal cranes. Contractor will be using the Shasta Reservoir property at the end of Bay Tree Lane for staging and parking. Construction is now scheduled to start in July 2015 and be completed in approximately 6 months.

      UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive
      Construction is underway for a project that will create a new home for BAM/PFA, a vibrant multi-media art center for the campus and community. This center is comprised of the re-purposed former UC printing plant at 2120 Oxford Street as well as new construction. The donor-funded facility will house BAM/PFA’s exhibition galleries, library, film study center; education and art-making spaces; store; cafe; and offices as well as a 230-seat theater and a 32-seat screening room. The new facility is scheduled to open January 31, 2016.

      The Cal Aquatic Center
      A new intercollegiate aquatic facility located west of the University Health Service Tang Center at 2222 Bancroft Way. It will consist of three single level buildings surrounding a 52 meter swimming pool with dive tower. Construction is expected to be complete in summer 2016.

      Berkeley Way West
      Construction of a new academic building is scheduled to start in late December 2015 in the lot bounded by Berkeley Way, Shattuck Ave and Hearst Ave. The building will house the School of Public Health, School of Education, and Department of Psychology. Ground floor retail along is also planned. Construction is scheduled to continue through late 2018.
