 Black Infant Health Program - The Black Infant Health program exists to increase the chance of African American babies to have a healthy start in life.  We provide FREE counseling, social support, parenting education, and referrals to health services for African-American women who are 18 years or older, pregnant and parenting. The primary goal of the Berkeley Black Infant Health program is to reduce the number of low birth weight infants born to African American women in Berkeley, and increase their chances for a healthier start in life. Child Health and Disability Prevention Program(CHDP)  - The Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP) is a health promotion and disease prevention program serving income-eligible children.  Free periodic health assessments are available to low-income children through the CHDP Program.  Assistance getting treatment services and low-cost insurance for infants, children, and youth is also available.  [more...]
