5. Appeal - Time Certain - 7:15 p.m.

Appeal RWN-1412 and C-247; 1936 Berryman, Apt. A. This is an appeal of a hearing examiner decision on a request for a certificate of permissible rent levels and an appeal of a finding that the property is properly registered. The decision of the hearing examiner on the certificate is a final decision of the Board. To challenge this decision, appellant must seek a writ in the Superior Court. Regarding the registration status of the property, a review of the records establishes that the owners have provided all the requested information needed to implement the Rent Ordinance. Therefore, the decision of the hearing examiner finding that the property is properly registered should be affirmed.

6. Special Order of Business

a. Discussion and review of submission from candidates for the vacant Rent Board seat.

b. Nomination of candidates to fill the vacant position on the Rent Board.

c. Election of new Commissioner to serve out the remainder of the unexpired term.

d. Oath of office of the new Commissioner administered by the City Clerk (if a candidate is selected).
