a. From Committees and Executive Director.

(1) Recommendation to adopt a resolution authorizing the Executive Director to extend the contract with the Eviction Defense Center (EDC) for Fiscal Year 2003/2004 for an amount not to exceed $69,000 for the provision of services to tenants in Berkeley. (Eviction and Executive Director)

(2) Recommendation to adopt a resolution authorizing the Executive Director to extend the contract with East Bay Community Law Center (EBCLC) for Fiscal Year 2003/2004 to continue to provide services to tenants in Berkeley. Contract amount is not to exceed $85,000. (Eviction and Executive Director)

(3) Recommendation to adopt a resolution authorizing the Executive Director to extend the contract with Housing Rights, Inc. (HRI) for Fiscal Year 2003/2004 to continue to provide services to tenants in Berkeley. Contract amount is not to exceed $55,000. (Eviction and Executive Director)

(4) Second reading on proposal that the Board amend regulations 883, 884 and 885, which guide the penalty waiver process. (Executive Director)
