Crisis, Assessment, and Triage (CAT)

Our Purpose

We provide linkages to community based resources.  

The Crisis team also offers consultation services and coordinates with other agencies and groups.

Are you seeking services form BMH for the first time?
Drop in at the new location between 8 am at noon, Monday through Thursday for screening and assessment.  You can also contact the Crisis, Assessment and Triage (CAT) team by phone at 510.981.5244 until 4 PM, Monday through Friday.  If we are unavailable, please leave a message.  This voicemail is checked frequently during the work day and we will return your call promptly.

What We Do

Who We Serve

We serve residents of Berkeley and Albany or homeless in Berkeley or Albany, 18 years or older.  Clients must be experiencing moderate to severe psychiatric crisis that is affecting major areas of life functioning OR demonstrate clear need for a thorough mental health evaluation and assessment to determine best possible intervention.

Fee: Sliding scale based on income; free services depending on income qualification.  We accept medi-cal insurance
