The Admission and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) defines ’s policies for operating its Low Income Public Housing Program. The parameters for this program are established by Federal laws and regulations. Applicable regulations include:

  • 24 CFR Part 8: Nondiscrimination
  • 24 CFR 902: Public Housing Assessment System
  • 24 CFR 903: Public Housing Agency Plans
  • 24 CFR 945: Designated Housing
  • 24 CFR Part 960: Admission and Occupancy Policies
  • 24 CFR 965: PHA Owned or Leased Projects
  • 24 CFR Part 966: Lease and Grievance Procedures

Issues that are not addressed in this document may be governed by Federal, State and regulations and HUD notices, Memos and guidelines. If there is any conflict between this policy and laws or regulations, the Federal program laws and regulations will prevail.
