MISSING TEXAS STUDENT’S CAR FOUND - COMMUNITY HELP NEEDED
Berkeley, California (Friday, June 13, 2008) - City of Berkeley Police Department (BPD) Homicide detectives are assisting the Rice University (Houston, Texas) Police Department with a missing person case. Matthew J. Wilson, 21, of Haworth, Oklahoma has been missing since December 15, 2007 from his off campus Houston apartment. On June 10, 2008, BPD found Wilson’s 2004 silver Dodge Neon in the 1200 block of Allston Way in West Berkeley.
At the time of his disappearance, Wilson was a junior at Rice University where he was a computer science major. Family members and friends describe Wilson as a diligent student. Although there is no evidence of foul play to date, family members do not believe Wilson would leave in the midst of finals and not communicate with them. Several entities, including the Wilson family and Rice University are offering a total of $25,000 in reward money for information regarding Wilson’s disappearance and/or whereabouts.
Matthew Wilson’s description
White male adult, 21 years old
