Aquatic Park Improvement Program (APIP)

 Notice of Availability:  Berkeley Aquatic Park Improvement Program Draft Environmental Impact Report and
Notice of Extended Public Comment Period  

The City of Berkeley has completed a Draft Environmental Impact Report, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act, for the proposed Berkeley Aquatic Park Improvement Program.  The public comment period is from November 8, 2012 and has been extended through February 11, 2013. There will be two (2) public hearings:

  • Monday, December 3, 2012 at Frances Albrier Community Center, 7:30 pm (Parks & Recreation Comm Mtg)
  • Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at James Kenney Community Center, 7:00 pm

The City must receive all written comments regarding the adequacy of the Draft EIR within the public comment time period.  Written comments must be submitted no later than Tuesday, February 11, 2013 in person, by US mail or by Email to:

D. Aquatic Park Natural Resource Management Study (December 2003):  The Aquatic Park Natural Resources Management Study has been prepared by Laurel Marcus & Associates and describes a series of alternative water circulation and lagoon habitat improvements.
