Bay Trail Interpretive Signage Project

Donna Graves: 

Donna Graves is a Berkeley resident and in 2005 was awarded funding from the Public Art Program to develop a Historic Marker commemorating Frances Albrier. This award was based on her work with historic interpretation and public art  in the city of Richmond. Ms. Graves wrote a grant to the West Berkeley Foundation and received funds to add a community memory gathering project and a school education project.  The photograph above is of the Bay Trail Interpretive Signage Project,  which Graves developed for the City of Richmond and the Rosie the Riveter/WWII National Historical Park.  She worked with an inter-disciplinary team including designers Mayer/Reed, Artists James Harrison and Lewis Watts, and Writer Chiori Santiago.
