New Permit Option for Treatment of Aqueous Wastes Containing Cyanide

Effective August 6, 2008, new regulations amended the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 45 (Requirements for Units and Facilities Deemed to have a Permit by Rule) to include treatment for aqueous waste containing cyanide.  This rulemaking establishes a simple and environmentally protective option for businesses using cyanides to gain authorization to treat their cyanide containing wastewaters.
