On April 4, 2002, at approximately 2:12 a.m. two male pedestrians were attacked as they were walking in the 2700 block of Claremont Avenue. The suspect depicted began punching one of the men repeatedly in the face. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect continued to assault him. The second man tried to help his friend, and as a result, he too became the subject of the brutal attack. The suspect repeatedly punched the second victim, while the first escaped and ran for help. The suspect demanded cash before fleeing on foot. It is believed that a second suspect was waiting in the shadows during the crime.

BPD needs the community's help in solving this crime.

Any information may be critical to solving these crimes. Sometimes the smallest or seemingly insignificant detail can be the key to arresting the suspect or suspects in any crime.
