On July 6th, at about 3:00 p.m., a woman was assaulted in the 2500 block of Hillegass Avenue. In both cases, the suspect made his way into secure lobby areas of multi-unit apartment buildings and focused on a college age Asian woman. If you see or recognize either of the suspects in the sketches, or have any information regarding these assaults, BPD needs the community's help in solving this crime.
BPD is urging anyone who may know anything about these crimes to call the BPD Sex Crimes detail at (510) 981-5735 or the 24 hour BPD non emergency number of (510) 981-5900. If a community member wishes to remain anonymous, he/she is encouraged to call Bay Area Crimes Stoppers (BACS) at (800)-222-TIPS (8477). All calls and tips to BACS are completely confidential. Any information may be critical to solving this crime. Sometimes the smallest or seemingly insignificant detail can be the key to arresting the suspect or suspects in any crime.
