Berkeley, California (Wednesday, February 18, 2009) - Nominations are now being sought for the 20th Anniversary of the City of Berkeley’s Outstanding Women of Berkeley event.

As part of celebrating National Women’s History Month (March), the City of Berkeley’s Commission on the Status or Women will honor the many accomplishments of local women. The ceremony and reception will be held on April 1.
The Commission encourages nominations for women who have inspired change and whom you feel should be recognized. In the past, the Commission has recognized artists, teachers, mayors, and community activists. We are confident that this year we will see more outstanding women awarded for their achievements.
