COMMUNITY CRIME ALERT - SEXUAL PREDATOR STRIKES TWICE OVER THE WEEKEND
Berkeley, California (Monday, March 02, 2009) - On Saturday, February 28, 2009 Berkeley Police Department Patrol Officers responded to two separate reports of sexual assault, which detectives believe are linked to the ongoing series in the South Campus Area.
The first incident occurred at 3:45 AM as the lone college aged victim walked northbound on Piedmont Avenue from Channing Way. The second victim was assaulted on Dwight Way east of College Avenue at 11:00 PM. In both cases the suspect approached his victims from behind and attempted to digitally penetrate their vaginas by reaching up under their clothing. These two new cases bring the total number of incidents to 19.
After the February 20th incident, the following sketch was compiled from witnesses’ accounts.
The suspect is described as:
White Male, 20s,
5-10 tall, 160-170 lbs, medium build,
Short dark wavy hair
