WORKSHOP ON DISASTER PREPAREDNESS FOR PETS
Berkeley, California (Thursday, August 10, 2006) - Do you have a plan for your pet in case of a disaster? Do you have a pet first aid kit, a sturdy crate or pet carrier, and copies of your pet’s vaccination and history on hand? On Wednesday, August 23, 6:30-8:30 p.m., the Berkeley Humane Society is hosting a Disaster Planning for Animals workshop. Presented by Noah’s Wish, a non-profit animal welfare organization focusing on animal disaster relief, the workshop covers how to prepare yourself and your pets for disaster, and how best to help your community.
The workshop takes place at the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society (BEBHS), 2700 Ninth Street (at Carleton) in the Training Room. People only please. A $10 donation is requested to support the abandoned animals at BEBHS. To register or for information, contact the BEBHS Training Department at 510-845-7735 ex. 22, or email email@example.com.
