East Bay Economic Development Alliance

The East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA) is a public/private partnership serving the San Francisco East Bay (Alameda and Contra Costa Counties) whose mission is to establish the East Bay as a world-recognized location to grow businesses, attract capital and create quality jobs.

The organization was founded in 1990 by Alameda County, its 14 cities and special districts, as the Economic Development Advisory Board. The organization’s name was changed in 1996 to the Economic Development Alliance for Business (EDAB) as Contra Costa County Cities and County asked to join the organization and in June 2006, the name was changed to the East Bay Economic Development Alliance, to better reflect the bi-county mission of the organization.  East Bay EDA Web Page
