2007 City of Berkeley Annual Report
Wrapping it Up- The Back Page
Berkeley Animal Care Services (BACS) is known statewide for our success in placing animals in loving homes. Less than 10 percent of the dogs and cats who come to the shelter are euthanized, one of the best rates in the state.
BACS also offers a low cost Spay/Neuter Program for residents of Berkeley, which is helping to reduce the number of pets who enter the shelter.
To make it even easier you’ll soon be able to buy your pet license right at the shelter. To volunteer or to adopt, call (510) 981-6600.
