QUICK ARRESTS IN RASH OF ROBBERIES
Berkeley, California (Thursday, October 21, 2010) - Members of the City of Berkeley Police Department have arrested, and the Alameda County District Attorney has charged, six (6) armed robbery suspects in connection with two separate robbery investigations involving five different victims.
One investigation involved a series of robberies that occurred in Berkeley last week. Keiarris Samuel Hall, 18 of Antioch, Kevin Samuel Polk, 19 of Berkeley, twin brothers Michael Anthony Glover and Markell Antwan Glover, both 18 of Richmond are responsible for a series of armed robberies in which they used a shotgun to commit the crimes.
• October 13th, 7:52 p.m. - Ohlone Greenway, 1300 block of Cedar Street.
• October 13th, 9:47 p.m. - Russell & Wheeler Streets.
On the same night that BPD was searching for the suspects in the two (2) armed robberies listed above, information sharing with the City of Oakland Police Department (OPD) revealed that OPD was investigating a similar robbery that happened at Hudson and Boyd Streets in North Oakland. The suspects in that crime were armed with a shotgun. A witness to that robbery gave a description of the suspect car and a partial license plate to OPD officers who relayed the information to BPD.

On Thursday, October 14th at approximately 3:40 p.m., BPD Drug Task Force (DTF) Sergeant Brian Wilson and Officer Peter Lee were on patrol in South Berkeley when they saw a car that matched the description of the suspect car associated with the armed robberies. They stopped the car at Prince and King Streets. During a search of the car, the officers found property that had been stolen from the robbery victims.
These arrests follow arrests in another robbery earlier in the month. On the night of October 5th,
a suspect pointed a shotgun at a man who was walking at Ellis and Prince Streets. BPD Robbery Detectives discovered that the suspects had used the victim’s stolen credit cards soon after the incident and the activity was caught on surveillance video. Within 48 hours, Detectives were able to identify the suspects, serve search warrants at their homes and arrest them for the crime. Mario Anthony Whitty, 23 and Damian Green, 19 both from Richmond have since been charged with armed robbery.
