Berkeley, California (Tuesday, December 07, 2010) - The Berkeley Fire Department, in collaboration with community volunteers, will assemble and deliver 600 Holiday Food Baskets to Berkeley seniors in need. The food baskets will include a whole chicken, vegetables, fruit, rice, beans, soup, and bread.

Volunteers are welcome to join Berkeley Firefighters to fill bags with groceries and deliver to 600 seniors in need. Baskets will be delivered the same day.

WHEN: Saturday, December 18, 2010 
          8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Fire Station Number 5 located at 2680 Shattuck Avenue. 

All volunteers will be fed breakfast by members of the Berkeley Firefighters Association after all baskets are assembled.
