Bicycle Boulevards: Current Projects

Hillegass/Ashby Intersection

This intersection is difficult to cross as a pedestrian or a bicyclist. The City is working with Caltrans, which must approve any changes to Ashby (a state highway), to improve this crossing.

Ninth Street connection to Emeryville

This bicycle boulevard currently dead-ends at Heinz Avenue, where railroad tracks lead into Emeryville. The City has raised over $500,000 to purchase this right-of-way and build a bicycle path, which will connect to a similar path to be built in Emeryville.
