Mental Health Month
The City of Berkeley is concerned about the health and well-being of all consumers, family members, and the community-at-large. This is the sixth citywide event that has been held in honor of Mental Health Month.

Berkeley Mental Health’s May Is Mental Health Month event supports the work of the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (www.samhsa.gov/) and Alameda County Behavior Health Care Services (http://www.acbhcs.org/), both of which are focused on  increasing the life expectancy for individuals with mental and substance use disorders.

The hope is that individuals with mental and substance use disorders will have quality health outcomes, secure recovery, and engage in satisfying quality of life activities in their communities by having access to an array of effective services and resources.
