Spring Break Camps (April 1-5, 2013)
Spring Break Day Camp Style
Get a preview of the Berkeley Day Camp experience. Enjoy some of the same staff, and special locations that make Day Camp such a fun and memorable camp! Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be held at Willard Clubhouse singing songs, playing games and doing arts and crafts. We’ll spend Tuesday at the Berkeley Marina exploring Adventure Playground and Thursday at Tilden Park for hiking and storytelling. Bring a lunch, plenty of snacks and a water bottle. Intro to Music: Mixed Ensemble Camp
Students will gain an understanding of rhythm, pitch and melody in this class. With guitars, drums, and their own voices students will explore and discuss the important underlying elements of music to build a strong foundation of understanding. Register online at www.nuskuarts.org
Green Drag Racing Camp
This LEGO camp is unabashedly about cars, racing, velocity, and competition, with one small twist: all vehicle power must be carbon-free. We will use sails, solar power, turbine-generated electricity, even rubber band motors- whatever it takes to get that car going FAST.
Make Me A Pro Sports Camp
This fun-filled session has everything to offer from our skilled coaches to our great games and drills. We will have soccer, baseball, basketball and flag football. Come to this great camp, which will be educational as well as fun. Please bring lunch, snacks, water and don’t forget to tell your friends! $7 instructors fee for 1st day of camp. Rebound Basketball Academy
Preschool - GRADE 5
Rebound Basketball Academy is an excellent educational program for children promoting sports activities. Preschool through 2nd grade program emphasizes developing sports skills, improving self-esteem, & fair play while teaching the fundamentals of basketball such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. Fun games will be played towards the end of each class. 3rd through 5th grade program focuses on sport skills development, participation, and team work. Spring Break Skate Camp
Skate Camp is open to all levels of skaters. Participants will need a quality skateboard, shoes, and helmet (pads recommended). Park will be closed to the public during camp hours. Bring lunch and snacks. Call 981-5150 for more information.
Sports and Games Camp
Talented staff will lead children through a summer full of high energy activities featuring instruction and practice in sports such as basketball, soccer, t-ball, softball, lacrosse, and ultimate frisbee. To add to the fun, children will participate in arts and crafts, nature hikes, swimming, dancing and a Berkeley camps Sports Play Day.
Arts Discovery Camp
Youth will increase awareness of different cultures through art, theater, dance, foods and nature exploration. We will also promote an appreciation for the environment by planting and harvesting from the garden.
Join us as we embark on an exciting journey of FUN! Youth will participate in creative art projects, learn about the community on amazing field trips, become junior scientists, take on sports challenges, put on their chef’s cap, and have a splish-splash great time on swimming days for an action-packed summer!
