Mobile telephones play an increasingly large role in our daily lives.  Concerns have been raised about the health impact of radiofrequency electromagnetic fields associated with cell phone use.  The World Health Organization (WHO) in May 2011 classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields—of the type used by cell-phones—as possibly carcinogenic to humans.  Information in this area is changing rapidly.  The sources below can help Berkeley residents stay up-to-date and make informed decisions about their use of cellular phones.
