Berkeley Kite FestivalBerkeley Kite Festival Last weekend in July.

The park's open rolling hills, and proximity to the Golden Gate's  ever-present winds, make Cesar Chavez Park the perfect site for a kite festival.

Fourth of July and Fireworks  - Wed. July 4,  2007, 9:30 P.M.

FireworksThe fireworks celebration is held every year at Berkeley Marina.  The pyrotechnic display lasts approximately one half-hour. We are looking into changing the venue to a Lazer light show which will soften the impact of lost and frightened animals usually affected by the loud noises of the fireworks. The display is launched from the Berkeley Pier at the foot of University Avenue, but will be visible from all over the Marina and elsewhere. Automobile access is limited, so check the website in advance.
