Summer Lunch Program Begins June 21
Berkeley, California (Thursday, June 17, 2010) - Children who are 18 years old or younger are invited to eat free in Berkeley. The City of Berkeley, in collaboration with the State of California Department of Education, will offer free summer lunches and snacks to all Berkeley students at locations across the City between June 21 and August 13. Dates, times and locations are listed below.
JUNE 21 -- AUGUST 13
James Kenney Community Center, 1720 8th Street
Lunch served: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Snack served: 2:30 p.m. -3:30 p.m.
MLK Jr. Youth Center, 1739 Oregon Street
Lunch served: Noon-1 p.m.
Snack served: 3 p.m. -4 p.m.
Frances Albrier Community Center, 2800 Park St.
Lunch served: Noon-1 p.m.
Snack served: 3 p.m. -4 p.m.
Harrison Street Skate Park, 5th and Harrison St.
Lunch served 11:30 a.m .-12:30 p.m.
Snack served 2:30 p.m. -3:30 p.m.
Black Repertory Theater, 3210 Adeline St.
Lunch served 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Snack served 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
