New Rates Take Effect at goBerkeley On-Street Meters, Off-Street Lots, and City Garages, January 1st, 2017
On January 1st, 2017, the City of Berkeley will adjust goBerkeley meter rates to improve parking availability in Downtown Berkeley, the Southside/Telegraph area, and the Elmwood.
- More available parking spaces in high-demand Premium zones at $3.50/hour (Downtown), $3.25/hour (Southside/Telegraph), and $2.50/hour (The Elmwood)
- Value zones with the option to park for up to 4 hours (Downtown) and 8 hours (Southside/Telegraph) at $2.25/hour
- Increased availability at the Berkeley Way Lot, the Elmwood Lot, and Telegraph Channing Garage
goBerkeley is a City of Berkeley program that improves the safety and ease of travel in three of Berkeley's vibrant commercial districts by making it easier to find parking.
