1. Roll call.
2. Approval of the agenda.
3. Public comment.
4. Approval of minutes of the July 11, 2012 meeting.
5. Discussion and possible action on:
a. Follow-up to staff’s report from the last meeting on waiver statistics for July 2011 – June 2012.
b. Ways to deal with chronically late owners/managers: a survey, such as one that banks use for those who pay bills late; a property owner/manager “traffic school,” where penalty is reduced for attending; a Rent Stabilization Board property manager certification program. Also, staff response to these ideas.
c. Committee’s interest in reviewing staff correspondence to owners, where the Board gave specific instructions to staff when considering a waiver.
d. Revising Recommendation on Requested Waiver of Registration Penalties form to reflect history by owner (current history is by property).
e. Revising the waivers process, so that the Committee reviews waiver requests and staff recommendations, and then makes its recommendation to the full Board.
f. A workplan for the Committee.
6. Set next meeting date and place items on agenda for that meeting.
