Public Hearing Regarding Adjustments
to Council District Boundaries (Redistricting) From: City Manager Recommendation:
1) Conduct the public hearing, continued from the meeting of
February 26, 2002, on a modified redistricting plan submitted by a Council
Subcommittee of Armstrong, Hawley, Maio and Worthington; 2) Upon
conclusion of the public hearing, hold a Council discussion and approve
the plan, with or without modifications; and 3) direct the City Clerk to
draft the Redistricting Ordinance for the first reading at the meeting of
March 12, 2002. Contact:

Olds, Shirek, Dean) a substitute motion to approve the redistricting plan
proposed by the Council Subcommittee with amendments proposed by
Councilmember Spring and amendments proposed by ASUC in their submittal
labeled ASUC Amendment 1. Moved,
seconded, carried (Armstrong/Maio; Noes
- Spring) to close the public hearing and to approve the redistricting
plan proposed by the Council Subcommittee and to direct the City Clerk to
draft the redistricting ordinance for the meeting of March 12, 2002. Adjournment
