Precautionary Principle Ordinance (CF 62-03)

1)
Adopt first reading of Ordinance adding Chapter 12.29 to the
Berkeley Municipal Code (BMC) to establish the Precautionary
Principle to guide decisions that have potential impact on public
health, the environment, natural resources and sustainability and 2)
Direct the City Manager to provide a description, timetable and
prioritization by December 2005 regarding areas where the
Precautionary Principle will be integrated into City
decision-making.
