3. Approval of Minutes of Meeting of June 12, 2006 (PDF, 28 KB).

   Action: Minutes approved by unanimous consent.

    

4. Review and Action on Draft Housing Authority Agenda for June 27, 2006 (PDF, 21 KB).

   Action: The Monthly Status Update on the Housing Authority was moved from Information to Action.

    

5. Review and Action on Draft City Council Agenda for June 27, 2006.

   Action: All items approved for placement on the agenda with the following exceptions:

   Reaffirm Support for S.809/H.R. 1652 Access to Legal Pharmaceuticals Act to Ensure Pharmacies Fill All Prescriptions

   From: Councilmember Worthington

   Recommendation: Council reaffirm its support for the access to Legal Pharmaceuticals Act (“ALPhA”: S.809/H.R. 1652) and urge Senator Diane Feinstein to join the list of co-sponsors for the Senate Bill.

6. Scheduling of Presentation Regarding the Off-Label Use of the Drug, Cytotec.

   Action: Placed on the June 27, 2006 agenda.

    

7. Review of Council Procedures Regarding Public Comment.

   Scheduling an item for the June 27, 2006 agenda to consider whether and how to review Council procedures on public hearing and public comment.

   Action:  Placed on the June 27, 2006 agenda as an action item.

    

8. Review and Action on Scheduling of Calendar, Public Hearings, Presentations and Worksession topics.

   Action: Calendars reviewed.  A special meeting was set for June 30, 2006, 12:00 p.m. to adopt second reading of an ordinance amending the Telephone Users Tax, Berkeley Municipal Code (BMC) Sections 7.70.020 and 7.70.050.
