  1. Roll Call:        2:34 p.m.
    Present:          Mayor Bates and Councilmembers Anderson and Wozniak

     

  2. Public Comment: Barbara Gilbert.

     

  3. Approval of Minutes of Meeting of July 17, 2006 (PDF, 25 KB).

    Action:  Moved, seconded, carried (Wozniak/Anderson) to approve minutes as submitted.

     

  4. Review and Action on Draft Housing Authority Agenda for September 19, 2006 (PDF, 17 KB).

    Action:  Moved, seconded, carried (Wozniak/Anderson) approval of the agenda.

     

  5. Review and Action on Draft City Council Agenda for September 19, 2006.

    Action: Moved, seconded, carried (Wozniak/Anderson) to approve the agenda with the following additions, deletions or changes:

     

    Removed from the Consent Calendar:

    PG&E-YMCA Teen Center

    From: Mayor Bates

    Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution supporting the proposed partnership between PG&E and the Berkeley-Albany YMCA to transform PG&E’s vacant building on the corner of Center Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Way into a Teen Center.

    Financial Implications: None

    Contact: Tom Bates, Mayor, 981-7100
    Action:  Removed from the agenda at the request of Mayor Bates.

     

    Introduction To The ASUC Officers Of 2006-2007

    From: Councilmember Worthington

    Recommendation: Reserve five minutes on September 26, 2006 during the ceremonial items to introduce the ASUC Officers of 2006-2007.

    Financial Implications: None

    Contact: Kriss Worthington, Councilmember District 7, 981-7170

    Action:  Moved to Ceremonial Matters at the suggestion of Mayor Bates.

     

  6. Rescheduling of Condominium Conversion Workshop and Public Hearing on UC Berkeley Memorial Stadium Appeal.

    Action:  Moved, seconded, carried (Anderson/Wozniak) to reschedule the Condominium Conversion Workshop to December 5, 2006 and the UC Berkeley Memorial Stadium public hearing to October 24, 2006.

     

  7. Review and Action on Scheduling of Calendar, Public Hearings, Presentations and Worksession topics.

      Action: Calendars reviewed
