BERKELEY HOUSING AUTHORITY MEETING

Comments from the Public:  A total of 30 minutes is scheduled.  Each speaker is limited to a maximum of 3 minutes.

Authority Action: The Housing Authority may take action related to any subject listed on the Agenda.
 

The Authority will consider removal and addition of items to the Consent Calendar prior to voting on the Consent Calendar.  All items remaining on the Consent Calendar will be approved in one motion.  Items removed from the Consent Calendar will be taken up after the “Action Calendar” unless the Authority reorders the agenda.

1. Approval of Minutes

   Recommendation:  Approve the minutes of the meeting of October 30, 2001 (regular).

2. Annual Management Assessment for Public Housing Agencies
   From:  Executive Officer
   Recommendation:  Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Executive Officer to electronically submit the required annual Public Housing Management Assessment System report to HUD for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2001.

3. Stipends and Reimbursements for Resident Council Members
   From:  City Manager
   Recommendation:  Adopt a Resolution to authorize the payment of stipends and reimbursements for members of the Public Housing and Section 8 Resident Councils in accordance with the provisional contained in Administrative Regulation 3.1:  Stipend and Reimbursement in Lieu of Expenses for Members of Certain Boards, Commissions, and Committees with the exception that Resident Council members be exempted from having to file an income declaration form to show income eligibility.

4. Annual Plan Update for Fiscal Year 2001-02
   From:  Executive Officer
   Recommendation:  Conduct a public hearing and at the conclusion adopt a Resolution 1) adopting the Berkeley Housing Authority’s Annual Plan update for Fiscal Year 2001-2002; and 2) authorizing the Executive Officer to submit the Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
